As many of you know, Gaby and I have been looking for a new home for a while. We went and looked at some more houses with Rick on Friday, 2/5 and I remember feeling very discouraged after that evening. We found one possibility that evening, but after three others that were far from what we were looking for and not seeing anything else on the online listings, we went home feeling pretty discouraged.

But then just a week later, we were e-mailed a new listing for a home in a neighborhood we had been considering from the very beginning. After seeing a couple other offers we made evaporate before us, we were eager to get an offer in, and Rick worked very swiftly for us to make it happen! We got the offer in that evening, and we found out today that the current owner accepted!

We are SSOOO excited, and believe this is another example of God’s hand in our lives. We’ll take possession of the house just 10 days before our lease here at the apartment is up, and one month before our daughter is due. We received a letter from the apartment complex last week reminding us that we needed to submit our 60-day notice of what we may want to do about leaving the apartment or renewing our lease, and today’s news came in perfect time for that as well. Now, we can tell them next week that we’ll be leaving.

It’s been a long journey to sell the condo, and now find the house that we’ve been searching for. This wonderful home is just several blocks up the street from my office, so I’ll be able to ride my bike or walk down the hill to work too! We are eager to move, settle in, and turn this house into our HOME!
